Place: Kaffe og The - Læsø Havecafé, Ydegårdsvej 1
Before the darkness envelops Læsø, a piece of cake from Læsø Havecafé might hit the spot. At the café, we bake according to the season, and fall means apples from our own garden and chestnuts from the surrounding nature. You will find these fruits in our baked goods, from the classic Amager-cake to the Austrian apple cake with lots of cinnamon, or even in a "chestnut man". Of course, you can also find our praised Frederikshavner Tordenskjoldshatte.
On this particular Friday, Sweden celebrates Gustav Adols-day, which is always accompanied by a special cake. Since Læsø is halfway to Gothenburg, a holiday like this should not be ignored...
It is too cold to be sitting outside, so you are welcome to bring the cake home with you.
We are open Friday, Nov. 6th at 12.00 - 18.00 and Saturday, Nov. 7th at 11.00 - 18.00.

Anja Andersen from Læsø's Theater Association has cast the actors and instructed the piece, which is based on a story by Lili Jepsen. The storytelling takes place in Museumsgården's living rooms and takes approximately 30 minutes.
Entrance is free for everyone.
The event is produced in collaboration with the Museum Association on Læsø.

A collective cultural weekend
On Friday and Saturday, November 6th and 7th, you can experience a wide array of different events on Langeland, Læsø, Samsø and Ærø, all with the theme Light in the Dark.
The Danish islands offer something very special, and these four holiday-destinations have a lot in common and a collection of unique attractions. In collaboration, the four islands offer many exciting experiences and events all year round.
The project Light in the Dark was the first initiative in the collaboration between the islands. On some islands, light is at the center of the event, some islands focus on the darkness.
But the common denominator is that during this event, when the winter darkness starts to creep in, visitors and guest on the islands can warm themselves during activities and events while experiencing some of the things, that make each of the islands unique, up close.
During many of the events, you can enter and experience places and buildings, which would normally be closed or private, or areas which only a few people know about.
Admittedly, depending on the place and event, the amount of light in the dark varies, but here you can read more about what each island offers during the first weekend of November.
"Lys i Mørket på Læsø" er en del af Ø-samarbejdet "Fælles indsats for sæsonudvidelse på Læsø, Ærø, Langeland og Samsø" som er medfinansieret af Den Europæiske Union.
