Østerby Kro og Hotel offers a range of cosy, recently refurbished rooms on the first floor – several with views of the harbour and the sea – and every single one exudes the same atmosphere as the original seaside hotel. The hotel was originally built in 1933 and has been continuously refurbished with respect for its classic style.
The hotel has six charming, non-smoking double rooms with neat shared toilet and shower facilities in the corridor – one room offers the option of an extra bed. Østerby Kro og Hotel has free Wi-Fi and good parking facilities.
A lovely breakfast is included with your stay, and for tradespeople and others, there is the option of coffee and packed lunches to take away.
Cosy style

Views and a great location
Several rooms offer lovely views of Østerby’s charming harbour and, not least, the Kattegat.
The location is also ideal; within walking distance you’ll find a supermarket, various specialist shops, a fishmonger, a large marina, Østerby’s bustling fishing harbour and one of Læsø’s best beaches – Østerby Strand, just west of the marina.
To the east, the beach stretches towards Jegens with its beautiful heathland, and if you put your best foot forward, you’ll soon reach Danzigmand and Bløden Hale.
Close to the Tanghus Route
Østerby Kro og Hotel is also ideally situated for a trip to Læsø’s UNESCO World Heritage Site: the unique seaweed-covered roofs. The Gl. Østerby Seaweed-Roofed Houses Trail is approximately 5 km long and can be easily reached from the hotel – either on foot or by bike.
