A safe and family-friendly island

Læsø offers plenty of opportunity to cycle with your kids. From the western to the eastern end of Læsø, you will find - maybe - one of Denmark's most well-kept double-cycling lanes, and the smaller roads which criss-cross the island have a limited amount of traffic.

Læsø is made for cycling. The island is flat as a pancake, with many great places shielded from the wind. With great asphalt roads, well-kept green roads, opportunities for pit stops along the way, and plenty of accommodation and shopping choices.

Læsø is - admittedly - not equipped with mountains or even steep hills, but the island does have almost everything else; for the racers, Læsø is equipped with more than 100 km of great asphalt roads, and you can find technical challenges around the way and interval training with the road's twists and turns. For the mountain-bikers, the island offers plenty of gravel- and dirt roads along its more than 180 km of green roads. And of course, there are plenty of opportunities for the standard bike, the electric bike and the city bikes.
