Summer on Læsø

Enjoy the summer on sunny, sunny Læsø

Læsø - sky and sea

Foam-born, Læsø is beautifully situated in the soft waves of the Kattegat when arriving by the small, cozy ferry from Frederikshavn. From the Port of Vesterø the island stretches insanely throughout its 22 kilometers length with varied scenery, small cozy urban communities and protected areas. Here you will find the real island life, which offers lots of variations depending on the weather, wind and not least when the season comes. During the summer months, the number of inhabitants is multiplied and the business world is booming, but perhaps the island life is best experienced just outside the most hectic tourist season.

However, whatever the season, it is precisely because of the peace and the unique idyllic nature that Læsø enjoys a status as one of Denmark's perhaps most attractive holiday destinations. It is obvious to take the bikes and visit, for example, the salt lovers, enjoy the beautiful view of the Læsø Tower or explore the island's vast range of crafts. A quick walk along the beach with wind in your hair, sea air in your nose and sea breeze in your ears is like a vitamin supplement all year round. Seal safaris, a trip on horseback and a visit to the old seaweed belong to special Læsø experiences - and one of the newest shots on the tribe is the spa Bath Læsø Kur decorated in Vesterø's old harbor church and of course based on salt baths and treatments with the famous Læsø salt.
