Some good advice - allow plenty of time!
Læsø is a natural beach paradise, entertainment centre and playful landscape, and it keeps surprising me how much I’m enjoying the simple things in the company of kids. Let’s face it: Læsø is not into wild entertainment constructions. No amusement parks. No water slide or children’s parking. And only one cinema (but popcorn and candy available!). Nevertheless, Læsø has a couple of magnetic attractions. And there are children’s menus at restaurants, toppings for your ice cream and local strawberry stalls.
Allow your children to enjoy the many unforgettable places with you! (by Tom Andersson)
Storhaven is a must. As simple as that. There are other great places for children, but Storhaven is a children's paradise. Farm shop, home-made food and ice cream, ropeway, trampoline, rabbits, kittens, pigs, goats, ponies and donkeys, chicken, ducks and geese - and the whole circus for free and in slow-motion.
75% of all visitors to Læsø pass by the Læsø Saltworks - and with good reason: this is a unique place. Also for children who will easily be captured by the exciting history of salt making like in medieval times.
Læsø is blessed with long and child-friendly beaches, one of the most popular right next to the ferry: Kongestranden. For children of all ages, and you'll have to walk halfway to Jutland before the water deepens.
A place for the whole family to spend some hours of fun. Here you'll find minigolf, swings, trampolines, fun games and cute animals. In their cozy café you can enjoy a homemade burger made from local meat or fish from the sea around Læsø. They also serve ice cream and coffee.
Besides the above mentioned activities you can go horseback riding on Icelandic horses, rent bicycles, go on a trip with the Rønnerbus, go fishing in the lake or ocean, make dinner over a campfire in the woods and much more.
